DREAM GP Champion Gegard Mousasi To Attend M-1 Challenge In Nottingham

The Cage Warriors Middleweight World Champion Gegard Mousasi was victorious yesterday when he won the DREAM Middleweight GP in Tokyo, Japan. Mousasi who won the Cage Warriors Middleweight Title in December 2006; entered the DREAM GP back in April. In his first round tournament bout Mousasi surprised many MMA observers when he defeated the experienced Canadian star Denis Kang by Triangle choke. The Dutch based Armenian then defeated the Korean Judoka Dong Sik Yoon by decision in the Quarter finals in June.

Then yesterday on September,23 Mousasi entered the Saitama Super Arena for the Dream 6: Middleweight Grand Prix 2008 Final show and defeated both the feared Dutch Muay Thai fighter Melvin Manhoef (in the Semi Final) by submission and also sublime BJJ expert Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza, to win the Grand Prix Title Belt and $95,000. With this fantastic performance Mousasi's record now improves to 24-2-1 and secures his place and one of the World's elite Middleweight MMA fighters.

Warrior Promotions are now pleased to announce that Mousasi will be attending the M-1 Challenge show this coming Saturday (September, 27) as a guest. Mousasi will be attending both the Seminar, and Main show at the Harvey Hadden Centre in Nottingham, where he will be watching the exciting M-1 Challenge bouts between the Red Devils vs. Team USA & the Russian Legion vs. Team World. Plus three Superfights featuring the likes of Wayne Buck, “Judo” Jimmy Wallhead, Christian Smith and Cliff Hall.
