On April, 25 a highly prestigious national sports award "Slava" ('Glory') was presented to Fedor Emelianenko. He won in a category "Fair Play" because of the incident that occured during the World Combat Sambo Championship when Fedor's final opponent got injured and couldn't continue and eventual gold medalist considered such win not fair enough suggesting to reschedule the match.
Fedor's mother Olga Fedorovna was there to receive this award due to the absence of her noble son.
