Open letter to Fedor: You made the mistake of signing with M1 knowing the fight with Randy woudnt happen. Your reputation is diminishing without fighting the top talent and at this point people are getting tired of Randy not being man enough to honor his commitments. The interest in this fight is dwindling as nobody wants to see 07's top fighters fight in 09. they want to see the current top fighters fight. It appears that when this fight does happen it will not live up to the hype. Nobody wants to see randy ride his rascal scooter into the ring to get beat up, the interest just isntt there. At this point the only person who cares about this fight is Randy.

fedor, I wish you could read this comment. You know Dana is a businessman and he says what he says because of business but although he can be cookie as hell, he is right on something. Fedor has already beaten Nog 2,5 times who is the champion at the moment. Actually what Fedor wants to say is that if Dana's running his mouth he should also be the man to walk the walk and make ANY fight happen instead of just talking. Good letter Fedor, but Dana White will probably write some childish response that evades your letter and requests. Many of you who have written above (Chris, Kaka, Nick) don't really know what you're talking about. Fedor represents his country in SAMBO tournaments and other MMA events. The UFC's offer to him demanded exclusivity, meaning he could not fight in any other event, something that would clearly be unacceptable to him. So UFC fighters are unavailable to him and you can't blame him for that. Second, this rules out all the "top competition" that is in the UFC, since UFC fighters cannot fight outside of that organization. And it's true that Barnett and Kharitonov are both outside the ufc, but Barnett hasn't fought in 2007 and Kharitonov only fought twice. Maybe Barnett is out for a reason and if you saw how poor Kharitonov fought against Overeem, you'd see he wouldn't be ready for Fedor even if he had the chance. So all these "top fighters" that Fedor is "avoiding" aren't really available. Finally, I'm glad Fedor did not go to the UFC, this spares us this possibility of having UFC's knowledgeable MMA fans from booing the greatest fighter of all time. In the event Fedor has all this translated and he reads them i hope he doesn't take many of them seriously. As a fan of Pride/UFC...more importantly a fan of MMA... i want to see the best fighters in the world fight each other. I think what Fedor is trying to do with materializing a fight between himself and Randy Couture will be a great thing for MMA. The fact is Fedor is The Last Emperor and he will do what he wants because thats what a man would and should do. What Dana White says about Fedor is disrespectful and uncalled for. Fedor is right that it was not a sign of a gentleman or a grown man at all! As a fellow MMA related business owner, I would love to see the Fedor vs Couture matchup. However, let's not forget that both of these proud athletes represent "present day" MMA Fighters. They don't get arrested, they don't do drugs, they have respectable management and finally and most importantly, they are both "stand up" individuals. If the fight happens...it happens...if it doesn't while BOTH are in their prime...it doesn't. What I like about both of these warriors's is their committment to both of their homelands....Fedor with his SAMBO passion and Couture with his passion for the wounded soldiers. Let me start by saying, I believe Fedor is not only the best HW in the world, but I also feel he is the best fighter period. But signing with an organization that does not even have another fighter under contract is a big mistake. Like the UFC, Dana or not, the best HWs in the world are there. If you truly wanted to fight Randy, the UFC offered you a deal. I believe you would beat Randy, and any other HW the UFC would put in front of you. But, we'll never know because you chose a minor-league promotion. Dana may not be the most likable guy in the world, but from a business standpoint, he is doing the right thing. In Fedor Emelianneko's case, appearances can be deseptive and lack of visible muscles does not mean he is unable to fight best UFC HW fighters. Is anyone tired of this conversation? I like to watch MMA fighting. Debating who is the best is like feeling your sister up, ya you touched a boob, but it was your sisters boob. Randy's contract will be done in October with UFC, and the lawsuit they have against him will be thrown out, it's well known, they are trying to go after him as an announcer and a representative, saying he breached it, but he didn't. I would like to say something too.Im a huge fedor fan since i saw him fight the first time in pride.It wasn't only his power or his awesome skillls he got,it was his kind and intelligent behaviour he showed us.The smart waý like he handled his opponent and the respectful way like he treat them.I was and im still proud to be a fan of him.And more proud made me his decision not to go to the ufc and instead of that to be part of a growing new organisation,where like promised the fighters will be treat more fair and more respectful like in dana whites company.The first essential thing is to see the fighters like humans and not like in the opponent american org.called ufc like animals where they had to entertain an unrespectful crowd(the japanese knowing how to respect fighters-the americans not).On another hand they got a contract where they are allowed to fight against other fighters of other organisations thats not possible in dana's little sandbox where they are not allowed to do such things.Dana is hindering the whole mma evolution with his beahaviour and contracts and fedor is smart enough to recognize not beeing part of this.Fedor will support this evolution in another direction for us fans and for all fighters.I give him all my respect for doing this and u should too if you are a real fan of this sport.

Joining this thread very late, Destructor would still like to say a couple things. First I dont think there is anymore doubt weather or not Fedor is the number 1 heavyweight after what he did to Tim, I bet Tim has nightmares about his ass wrecking beatdown. After the fight he said something along the lines of Fedor being the hardest hitter he has ever faced. I mean shit did you guys see Tims face after 36 sec of fighting. Its like someone put Destrctors Seal of Approval on his mug. Second; besides UFC offering a shitty contract to Fedor they would not have allowed him to fight Champions from other organizations and I think thats one of the main reasons Fedor did not sign. Fedor wants to fight the best. Third; looks like Affliction is here to stay. Fedor gets Destructors Seal of Approval. BAM
