XX, 2008) –Titan Entertainment and M-1 Global are proud to announce the return of professional Mixed Martial Arts to Kansas City, Missouri as HDNet and Affliction present the “M-1 Challenge.” After successful events in Holland, Russia, Spain, Korea, and England the Affliction M-1 Challenge will finally take place in the USA. On October 29th 2008, the M-1 Challenge will come to Kansas City, Missouri for the 8th installment of this new fight series. Harrah’s Casino VooDoo lounge will be the launch pad for this explosive event. Doors will open at 6 p.m. with the first bout starting at 8:00 p.m.

Dana White stays pretty consistent in his attitude towards Fedor Emelianenko no matter what. Despite the fact Fedor beat four ex-UFC heavyweight champions it seems that Dana is critical about the level of these ex-UFC top fighters: "I still feel the same way about Fedor. I want to see Fedor fight the best in the world. People want to call him the best heavyweight pound-for-pound. Wait until he gets in and starts fighting some of these guys. I give him credit for fighting Tim Sylvia, but there are better guys out there than Tim."
To fight the best White believes Russian has to come to UFC: "The door is wide open. I want Fedor to come in and fight the best. At the end of the day, I’m a fight fan. That’s what I really am, and I want to see the best fight the best. Let’s find out if he’s the best. I want to do it."

A long-term cooperation between M-1 Global, Affliction, Golden Boys promotion and Donald Trump was announced earlier today. Also it was revealed that the "Fighting Fedor" reality-show is going to be produced in cooperation with Affliction and Donald FedorTrump.
M-1 Global president Vadim Finkelstein told at the conference that negotiations with different TV-networks about broadcasting the show are ongoing. 16 heavyweights from all over the world will come to St.Petersburg to participate in the project. During the show they will train and live in the famous Red Devil FT. Once in a while well-known fighters will visit them to share their skills. Eventually only one fighter will survive and win an opportunity of fighting Fedor Emelianenko in the finals.
Affliction has extended the contract with Fedor. Also donald Trump plans to come to St.Petersburg: "“I really believe, in its own way, this (show) will be a great success."

Aleksander Emelianenko to fight at M-1 Challenge 9

On November, 21 M-1 Challenge 9 will be held at Sports Hall "Ice Palace". Red Devil will take on Team Korea and Russia's Legion will look to gain victory over Team Holland. In one of two scheduled superfights Aleksander Emelianenko (13-3) will face off with Korean prospect Sang Soo Lee (9-4) who's coming of impressive stoppage victory over Roman Zentsov at M-1 Challenge 7.

On October, 11 a preliminary try-out procedure was held in Amstelveen, just outside Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The main goal is to discover new prospects who would subsequently take part in the 2009 M-1 Challenge season. A bunch of hopefuls comprised of 5 weight classes gathered in the Sports Centrum to train, spar and showcase their overall skills. Beside M-1 bosses present that day were the members of Team Holland and DREAM middleweight champ Gegard Mousasi whose interview you may encounter here shortly.

Speaking to Fighters Only this week, he revealed that the US organisation wants him to fight the Brazilian, while Red Devil team mate Fedor Emelianenko may face Josh Barnett.
