Here is an excerpt from the official Yarennoka rules regarding Yoshihira Akiyama vs Kazuo Misaki bout

Article 8. The following conduct is deemed a foul. The fighter who commits one of these fouls will be given a “Caution 1” from the referee. A caution will be considered a negative factor and points will be deducted for the decision. The fighter will be disqualified when he receives 3 (three) cautions. The fighter will also need to pay a penalty, 10% of the fight money per caution, to the promoter for every caution the fighter receives.

1. Head butting

2. Eye thumbing or eye gouging

3. Groin attacks of any kind

4. Biting

5. Throat strikes, grabbing the trachea, or any other kind of attack to the throat area

6. Striking the back of the head or the spine. (Note that the “back of the head” refers to the posterior aspect of the head; both sides of the head and the area around the ears are not considered the “back of the head.”)

7. Hair pulling

8. Elbow strikes to the head or face

9. Holding the ropes and intentionally refusing to release them or hooking a hand or foot over the rope. Hooking an upper arm on the rope will result in an immediate caution

10. Escaping from the ring, throwing the opponent out of the ring

11. Ineffective attacks that would not affect the opponent or inducing a stalled situation

12. Cruel acts during and outside the bout. (The judges may also admonish and warn the fighters regarding cruel acts outside the bout.)

13. When a fighter is on his “four point position” on the mat, a standing opponent must not kick the opponent’s face or head with his calf/shin/ankle/foot. Stomping is also not allowed. However, a knee(s) to the face/head is allowed
